Lovely generously proportioned space, lovely comfy, super king beds and fabulous showers. I loved the open glassed windows that pull right back, making the outdoor space link with the indoors space. The deck area was wonderful and where we hung out most weekend between the lounge furniture and hot tub. We didn’t need to go out we had wonderful views and a very comfortable spot – Fabulous for a lovely relaxing break. Would definitely book again.

The cottage was really beautiful, the beds so comfortable and facilities/equipment excellent. The outside terrace overlooking the quarry lake was really gorgeous, very peaceful. Felt at home immediately and will be booking again.

A perfect stay with excellent communication from host. Zero issues. Lots of games, books consoles, DVDs/blu rays. Fantastic view and hot tub. Would definitely return.

This lodge is amazing! It is extremely well-equipped, very clean and comfortable. The welcome basket is the best we have ever received and is the perfect start to the holiday. The outdoor furniture and BBQ truly make this outdoor living in the summer months and if it’s raining there is a comfortable sofa and a TV with sky and Netflix! The views are beautiful over the diving lake and as well as watching the wildlife you can watch the very brave swimmers. Great lodge in a great location!

Beautiful property with an amazing view from the balconies, cosy property and would recommend. Huge plus being the hot tub and at anytime if we had an issue, Graeme (the owner) was on hand by email at any time with a prompt response.

Just outstanding

No. 8 Higher Clearwater is one of eight cottages at the site. This cottage is exceptional regarding location and comfort; walk in and it has a warm and welcoming feel. The description on the Cottages website is accurate, but also there is a dog cage if needed plus a box of extras for the dog, such as towels blankets and toys and the site is secure. The best recommendation I can make is: it is like house sitting in a very upmarket family home.

Our family had a lovely and relaxing experience at Jackdaw Quarry Heights. The property was lovely and overlooked a beautiful view and the hosts were easy to contact and very helpful with any questions we had. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy quality time with family and friends.

Just a perfect holiday home. Stocked with everything you could possibly need and more besides. Views to die for, especially from the hot tub! The PS4 was a godsend for the kids as were the many board games. Very high quality furnishing and fixtures. Great communication from the owners. Can highly recommend this property.
